How To Survive 8th                   Grade

Okay, where do I start...8th grade is the year where school changes a lot. The thought of going to 8th was quite scary for me because school was going to get harder and I knew high school was next. Now, I have been in adventure for 4 years and it's a really cool experience and different from other middle schools. The coolest thing about Adventure is that you are with the same people for 4 straight years! You become well-known friends and have many people who can help you with your work. It is very important you make friends throughout the years you are at Adventure because Adventure is all about collaboration and you can't be shy around here. Projects are always fun in Adventure, especially with friends because you aren't shy to talk or make weird jokes.

One of my favourite parts of Adventure is the teachers. After 4 long years, you create a bond with them and tell jokes to each other. The teachers are chill and have a great sense of humour and sometimes in class, we get stuck in a conversation with the teachers as a class whole. These teachers help you a lot and support in your decisions which really make the whole experience better. Most of the teachers are really strict, but that's okay because it teaches us to concentrate more and be quiet. I think Ms.Garcia is the best at controlling the class because we all obey her due to us being scared of her sometimes. It's honestly really funny when Ms.Garcia yells at a student and the class is quiet for 5 minutes. I f you didn't like your elementary teacher I will assure you will like the Adventure teachers.

Now Adventure really gets you ready for the future. The teachers give us work and project that specifically to help us out in the future. In Adventure, we present a lot so we can get an idea of what working is like. We present multiple times which I don't really like because I usually get nervous when I present. When we present we are usually prepared and that is due to all the help we get from our teachers. We get so many tips fro the teachers what we could do to prepare and what we could improve on. Presentations really help you out but we recently started to present in a different form which is called an "Ignite Presentation". The form of presenting really helps you because we have to prepare more and be more focused. That is because when we present the slides change every 15 seconds which is really nerve recking because we have to time our presentation so everything is perfect.

The projects at Adventure is everything. The projects we do here mean something every time. We get many projects so we can collaborate, which is the point of this program. The projects here are well made and our teachers put so much effort to make these great projects for us and we all appreciate them. They have to make a project where it's fun but also fill us up with any knowledge. We are usually given work about the topic of the project before we start the project to get us ready and know what were doing. We are then filled up with all the information about the project which a BIG impact because the teachers explain so briefly so we can understand and get to work. I say you guys are in safe hands and you should never stress out. Now, in my opinion, you guys should get ready for Ms.Garcis's class because she has the best projects. They are aways fun too and are really helpful.

Overall, my experience here was a blast. You guys may start off slow but you will get there. I was not the brightest kid in the 5th-grade ad I was very shy. I almost had no friends and no one to talk too. That was because I thought people didn't like me but I was wrong is started to talk to people and they became my friends. Throughout the years hanging out with the same people really helped me improve and get out fo my cave. I am very thankful for all my teachers and my friends here at Adventure and I hope everyone has an opportunity to an AMAZING experience :)
